Welcome to our Christian Community Shea Darren Watters and Mia Phelan who were baptised in the Parish last weekend.

Communion Call Fr. Bernard will be doing his communion calls on Wednesday and Fr. Vinod will be doing his on Saturday.

Holy Lands Collection: A Collection for the Holy Lands will be taken up on Good Friday for the families of Syria and Iraq.

Faughart Lourdes Invalid Fund is holding a cake sale and coffee morning on Sunday 8th April with raffle of a luxury hamper. Lourdes Committee meeting on Tuesday @ 8.00pm.

Second collection on Easter Sunday for the Priests of the Parish.

Faughart Social Group is having their high tea on Monday evening at 7pm sharp.

Kilcurry Resource Centre –   Will hold an early Easter Coffee Morning on Sunday, 25th March from 10.00 a.m.  We are looking at upgrading the heating and painting the inside of the building.  We would really appreciate all your help and donations of baked goods.  We will have raffles of Easter/Spring prizes, Easter hampers and fruit hampers and many more.  Please come along on the day and enjoy a cuppa, beautiful home baked treats and a chat.  If you can help out at all we would be very grateful.  Check us out on our Facebook page,   Kilcurry Resource Centre, including raffle prizes.  Free entry competition –  Guess the number of chocolate pieces in the jar on our Facebook page.

LENTEN PRAYER GROUP  –  Create a space in your busy life by joining the LENTEN PRAYER GROUP to prepare for Easter.  The Sunday readings will be discussed and reflected on.  All welcome. Meeting will be held on Thursday at 7.00 p.m. in St Joseph’s Church, Fatima.

ST BRIDGET’S PRAYER MEETING is on Tuesday, 27th March at 7.00 p.m.  In the Parochial House.  All welcome.

CATHOLIC YOUNG ADULT CONFERENCE (ages between 18-40) being held at Sienna Centre, St Malachy’s Friary, Anne Street, Dundalk, on Saturday, 14th April, 2018 from 9.00 a.m. to 5.15 p.m.  All are welcome.  Lunch €10.  Legion of Mary Project.  Contact Noreen at  085 7617058

 Fund Raising;

 

The Parish is embarking on a Fundraising campaign to pay for a maintenance programme, which is to be carried out in 2018.

 

The following is the programme with approx cost.

Faughart:

New heating system in Church                       Cost     € 6,000

Kilcurry:

Refurbishment of bell and belfry                    Cost     €1,200

Deep cleaning of church, aisles,

porches, carpets and altar.                               Cost     €3,800

Completion of work in graveyard                   Cost     €  500

 

(Looking ahead the upgrading of the heating in Kilcurry Church will have to be attended to)

Castletown Church:

To allay above cost a meeting will be held on Wednesday 4th April at 8pm in the Parochial house.  The meeting will be short and the fundraising campaign will be short and sharp.  We are asking interested parishioners to support us by coming to the above meeting.
