You are invited to commemorate 50 years of the Faughart Lourdes Invalid Committee. Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Michael Router at 7.30pm in St Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry. This will be followed by refreshments in Kilcurry Resource Centre. Everyone is welcome to mark this momentous occasion.

1. BERNADETTE RELIC VISIT TO ARMAGH AND DUNDALK.

For the first time the Relics of St Bernadette will in Ireland and will be in Armagh and Dundalk on the weekend of 19 – 21 October. More details on stbernadette.ie.

FAUGHART PARISH LOURDES FUND-RAISING:  The Forge, Carrickasticken will be hosting this year’s big breakfast on Saturday 26^th October at 11am.  Vintage run on Sunday 27^th  leaving the Forge at 1pm sharp with raffle of valuable prises taking place on Sunday afternoon.

 

Scoil Phádraig Naofa Green Flag Committee:  is running a clothes recycling day on Thursday 24^th October, 2024. We accept clean clothes, curtains, duvet covers (not duvets or pillows) towels, linens and shoes. 2^ND COLLECTION: St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, stands as an icon of faith and hope. This weekend’s second collection supports the ongoing restoration and maintenance of our Diocesan Cathedral ensuring it remains a centre of hope and prayer for generations to come.

St Gerard Majella Novena St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church 8 – 16 October 2024

Solemn Novena in honour of St. Gerard Majella will be held in St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church Dundalk, beginning on the 8th of October, and concluding on the 16th. There will be eight sessions each day. Novena times are 7am, 9.30am, 11am, 1.10pm, 4.30pm, 6pm, 7.30pm, 9pm. All are welcome.

Centenary of St Oliver Plunkett in Blackrock 29 August- 1 September 2024

To mark the Centenary of St Oliver Plunkett Church Blackrock and there will be a festival of flowers to mark the occasion. Starting with Mass at St Oliver Shrine Ballybarrick at 7pm on Thursday 29th August. Friday 30th the festival will be open with an ecumenical service at 2pm. Saturday 31st August Mass at 6.30pm Celebrant Archbishop Eamon Martin. Concluding on Sunday. During the 3 days the festival will run between 2pm and 6pm

KILCURRY TIDY TOWNS GROUP: A large load of electrical waste was dumped at the motorway bridge (Scotchgreen) on Wednesday 3^rd July. If anyone witnessed this between 6:10pm and 7:00pm, please contact Louth County Council on 042 9335457.  This shows a total disregard for the area near to people’s homes. We ask for your help with this please.

Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles: to our Parish on 1st/2nd of June, to promote Mission Awareness at all Masses. The Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles were founded in 1876 as a group of international women religious dedicated to spreading the Good News through service and witness of their lives. Promoting women and the marginalized is a priority in their apostolate.  The OLA Sisters are grateful for all the support over the years in so many ways, and they encourage you to continue in that support. Sr. Mary Usifoh would be speaking during the Masses and there will be a second collection after communion.

NORTH LOUTH COMMUNITY FIRST RESPONDERS:  wish to thank you all for your generous and kind support for our Coffee Morning and Stroke Awareness Session in Kilcurry Community Centre. The amount raised to date is €3,421.50. Thank you all very sincerely. Funds will go towards purchase of a new defibrillator for our volunteers to use within the community when despatched by National Ambulance Service callouts. CHAPLET OF THE DIVINE MERCY: First Sunday of the month at 3pm, with confessions from 2pm onwards, St. Nicholas’ Church, Dundalk. Featuring Holy Hour, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Confessions and Anointing of the Sick. This will take place on Sunday 3rd March 2024. Come and receive God’s blessing. All are welcome.

FAUGHART LOURDES COMMITTEE: Armagh Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes dates, Sunday 12th May – Friday 17^th May.  Applications have now been accepted and early booking is advisable as there is a limited number of places allocated to each committee.  Fare this year’s pilgrimage is € 934.00 per person sharing including travel insurance. There will be a return bus available to Airport departing from Kilcurry Resource Centre.  Please contact the Fr. Vinod or a committee member.  Closing date for application Tues 22^nd Feb.  Committee Meeting Tuesday at 7.30pm, Parochial House.
