Camino 2025

Fr. Vinod has successfully completed his Camino journey, walking 800 km over 30 days. A huge well done to him, and we wish him a safe journey home!

Mary’s Supreme Apostolate

Mass for Healing will be held on Friday, 5th September at 6pm in St. Joseph’s, Castletown.

This Mass is for those who are suicidal and those bereaved by suicide. All are welcome.

CAMINO 2025

Fr. Vinod is entering the final week of his Camino journey – an incredible 800km trek from Southern France across Northern Spain, finishing in Santiago.
He’s walking in aid of the much-needed Kilcurry graveyard extension.

1. BERNADETTE RELIC VISIT TO ARMAGH AND DUNDALK.

For the first time the Relics of St Bernadette will in Ireland and will be in Armagh and Dundalk on the weekend of 19 – 21 October. More details on stbernadette.ie.

FAUGHART PARISH LOURDES FUND-RAISING:  The Forge, Carrickasticken will be hosting this year’s big breakfast on Saturday 26^th October at 11am.  Vintage run on Sunday 27^th  leaving the Forge at 1pm sharp with raffle of valuable prises taking place on Sunday afternoon.

 

Scoil Phádraig Naofa Green Flag Committee:  is running a clothes recycling day on Thursday 24^th October, 2024. We accept clean clothes, curtains, duvet covers (not duvets or pillows) towels, linens and shoes. St Gerard Majella Novena St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church 8 – 16 October 2024

Solemn Novena in honour of St. Gerard Majella will be held in St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church Dundalk, beginning on the 8th of October, and concluding on the 16th. There will be eight sessions each day. Novena times are 7am, 9.30am, 11am, 1.10pm, 4.30pm, 6pm, 7.30pm, 9pm. All are welcome.

Centenary of St Oliver Plunkett in Blackrock 29 August- 1 September 2024

To mark the Centenary of St Oliver Plunkett Church Blackrock and there will be a festival of flowers to mark the occasion. Starting with Mass at St Oliver Shrine Ballybarrick at 7pm on Thursday 29th August. Friday 30th the festival will be open with an ecumenical service at 2pm. Saturday 31st August Mass at 6.30pm Celebrant Archbishop Eamon Martin. Concluding on Sunday. During the 3 days the festival will run between 2pm and 6pm

KILCURRY TIDY TOWNS GROUP: A large load of electrical waste was dumped at the motorway bridge (Scotchgreen) on Wednesday 3^rd July. Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles: to our Parish on 1st/2nd of June, to promote Mission Awareness at all Masses. The Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles were founded in 1876 as a group of international women religious dedicated to spreading the Good News through service and witness of their lives. Promoting women and the marginalized is a priority in their apostolate.  The OLA Sisters are grateful for all the support over the years in so many ways, and they encourage you to continue in that support. Sr. Mary Usifoh would be speaking during the Masses and there will be a second collection after communion.

COME AND LISTEN: During this great season of Easter, the Church continues to offer a way for us to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. You are warmly invited to a series of talks which will take place at Eoin Baiste Primary School (Fatima)A91 XN28, every Friday and Sunday for several weeks. There is no need to register, and the talks are free. Each night has a different topic, so feel free to come along and listen whenever you can. Start time 7:30pm, for about an hour. KILCURRY TIDY TOWNS GROUP: will hold our annual Spring Clean on Sat 20th April. We would welcome anyone who wishes to take part, and if Saturday does not suit you please feel free to take part on whatever day suits you best during the week before. Please contact 0863675828 if you are looking for bags, litter pickers or hi viz vests or your litter bags collected. The Community Centre will be open from 9am to collect bags, litter pickers, hi viz vests or gloves if needed. Please be very careful on the roads and wear hi viz at all times while picking litter and drivers please be cautious of litter pickers carrying heavy bags and crossing the roads.

NATIONAL LEARNING NETWORK: Students of the National Learning Network, Ramparts Road, Dundalk are hosting a coffee morning on Monday April 15^th 10:00am to 2:00pm in aid of SHINE mental health Services (North East Region).
